Will Rosinsky (r) fights on a pro-am card at MSG Saturday
3/13 – Cosme Rivera (37-19-3, 25 KO’s) vs. Sergey Lipinets (5-0, 4 KO’s) – A La Carte Event Pavilion, Tampa, Florida, USA
Rivera’s in his 22nd year as a pro, and the guy isn’t even 40 years old yet. Though his best years are behind him, he hasn’t slowed down, and fought four times in 2014. The undefeated Lipinets is new to boxing, but the former world kickboxing champ has already won the WBC International Silver super lightweight title, and will add the WBC Latino super lightweight title if he can beat the more experienced Rivera.
3/14 – Jonathan Victor Barros (38-4-1, 21 KO’s) vs. Sergio Eduardo Gonzalez (27-17-4, 11 KO’s) – Club Sportivo Las Parejas, Las Parejas, Santa Fe, Argentina
The former WBA featherweight champ, Barros hit a rough patch a few years ago, losing three of four bouts against top level opponents. He’s since won four straight, and won the IBF Latino featherweight and WBC Latino super featherweight titles. Gonzalez is your run of the mill opponent who loses more than he wins lately.
3/14 – Patrick Nielsen (23-1, 11 KO’s) vs. George Tahdooahnippah (34-1-2, 24 KO’s) – Ballerup Super Arena, Ballerup, Denmark
The Danish prospect has faltered once thus far, dropping a 12 round decision to interim WBA middleweight champ Dmitry Chudinov last year, but Nielsen jumps up in weight this time for a shot at the vacant WBA International super middleweight title. His opponent, George Tahdooahnippah, is a familiar name that hasn’t really broken out yet. His one bump in the road was a stoppage at the hands of Delvin Rodriguez two years ago.
3/14 – Mariusz Wach (29-1, 16 KO’s) vs. Gbenga Oluokun (19-10, 12 KO’s) – Cuprum Arena, Lubin, Poland
Wach took two years off after losing to Wladimir Klitschko in 2012. He’s won two fights since returning last year with a third looking pretty likely as he faces Oluokun, who’s went 3-10 since 2009.
3/14 – Will Rosinsky (17-2, 9 KO’s) vs. Paul Gonsalves (7-5-1, 3 KO’s) – Madison Square Garden Theater, New York, New York, USA
This is Rosinsky’s first outing since a 2012 win over Otis Griffin. The four time NY Golden Gloves winner is eager to get his career back on track, with this contest being part of a pro-am charity card pitting the NYFD against the Irish National Police. This will be Gonsalves’s first bout outside New England and his first time going past the sixth round, if he makes it that far.
3/15 – Ali Raymi (25-0, 25 KO’s) vs. Hani Ansi (18-0-1, 16 KO’s) – 22 May Sports Stadium, Sanaa, Yemen
Raymi, aka “GOD” looks to win his second title when he fights for the vacant UBO super flyweight title. The free swinging slugger comes off four knockout wins over Prince Maz, the last of which earned him the UBO light flyweight title.
