In this afternoons lead in contest on Premier Boxing Champions, Artur Beterbeiv (8-0, 8 KO’s) remained undefeated, stopping former world light heavyweight champion Gabriel Campillo (25-7-1, 12 KO’s) in the fourth round in Quebec City.
Beterbiev got off to a quick start, dropping Campillo within the first minute of the opening frame. Keeping the pressure on over the next two rounds, he finished his business within 30 seconds of the fourth, a right-left combination putting Campillo down for good.
This was the third time in as many defeats that Campillo has been stopped against world-class opposition, while Beterbiev has ended all of his pro bouts inside four rounds.
When asked about a world title shot, Beterbeiv replied through a translator, that we wanted to “relax” for bit.
