4/10 – Victor Emilio Ramirez (21-2, 17 KO’s) vs. Ola Afolabi (21-3-4, 10 KO’s) – Villa La Ñata Sporting Club, Benavídez, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Afolabi is a former interim WBO cruiserweight champ and the current IBO champ in the same division. A win here would make him a two belt holder with the interim IBF title on the line against Ramirez, the IBF Latino champ. Both have faced Marco Huck; Ramirez lost over 12 rounds while Afolabi scored a draw, followed by a 12 round loss.
4/10 – Denis Lebedev (26-2, 20 KO’s) vs. Youri Kayembre Kalenga (21-1, 14 KO’s) – Luzhniki, Moscow, Russia
This is Lebedev’s first defense since regaining the WBA cruiserweight title this past September. His first run as champ lasted 18 months and was ended with a stoppage to Guillermo Jones. Kalenga is the interim WBA title holder, winning the belt last June and making one defense since.
4/10 – Rakhim Chakhkiev (21-1, 16 KO’s) vs. Valery Brudov (42-5, 28 KO’s) – Luzhniki, Moscow, Russia
Chakhkiev has won five straight, scoring four stoppages since taking his first loss nearly two years ago. He’s also won both the WBC silver and EBU cruiserweight belts. Brudov’s lost a number of times in world title challenges, and had a very brief run as the interim WBA champ in 2006.
4/10 – Manuel Charr (27-2, 16 KO’s) vs. Johann Duhaupas (31-2, 20 KO’s) – Luzhniki, Moscow, Russia
Charr’s beaten a handful of “also ran’s”, but has failed in his two big opportunities against Vitali Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin. His last bout was a fifth round stoppage over 42 year old American Michael Grant. Nothing really stands out when looking at Duhaupas’s record, though he has held a number of regional titles.
4/11 – Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York, USA
A number of young prospects get a shot on the Garcia-Peterson/Quillin-Lee undercard at the Barclays Center.
Marcus Browne (13-0, 10 KO’s) vs. Aaron Pryor Jr. (19-7-1, 12 KO’s)
The undefeated U.S. Olympian comes in on a streak of three first round knockouts, steadily improving his opposition along the way. Pryor had a four fight skid a few years back, but has won three of his last four and comes in off a draw with Marcus Upshaw in October.
Errol Spence Jr. (15-0, 12 KO’s) vs. Samuel Vargas (20-1-1, 10 KO’s)
Spence is another 2012 Olympian, working his way through the welterweight ranks. Vargas comes in on a five fight winning streak.
Felix Diaz (16-0, 8 KO’s) vs. Gabriel Bracero (23-1, 4 KO’s)
Undefeated super lightweight prospect Diaz won the WBC FECARBOX title in his last contest against Adrian Granados. He faces an experienced home town fighter in Bracero, who comes in off a win over fellow Brooklyn fighter Dmitriy Salita; that fight however, was 17 months ago and Bracero hasn’t fought since.
Luis Collazo (35-6, 18 KO’s) vs. Christopher Degollado (12-4, 10 KO’s)
Collazo gained major press when stopped former world champion Victor Ortiz in two rounds in January of 2014. The win earned him a shot against Amir Khan where his night wasn’t as good, as he was widely outpointed over 12 rounds. His opponent comes in off three losses, but should give Collazo some rounds and get him back on track.
4/11 – Jessie Magdaleno (20-0, 15 KO’s) vs. John Mark Apolinario (18-5-3, 5 KO’s) – Laredo Energy Arena, Laredo, Texas, USA
Magdaleno is the current NABF Junior super bantamweight title holder and a Solo Boxeo regular. Entering his fifth year in the pro ranks, he faces a three time world title challenger in Apolinario, who went the distance with both Koki Kameda and Hernan Marquez.
